What We're Learning

Pastor Paul's message from Youth Service

In 1 Timothy 4:12 The Apostle Paul tells Timothy, a young man who Paul established as the Pastor at the church in Ephesus, not to let anyone look down on him because he is young.  He tells Timothy to set the example for the believers.  To live a life that is followed by a Godly reputation.

Many adults look down on the youth of today.  They've been labeled as rebellious, disrespectful and lovers of pleasure.  Unfortunately the majority of youth are like that!  Let me grab your IPod and listen to some of the music, young person!  When you turn on Mtv and find a bisexual dating series that's geared towards youth, there's a problem.
But it only takes one to stand and be a Godly example!  This will blow all of the adults out of the water!   When a young person stands for Christ and says, "I stand for purity, holiness and a Godly life" things happen.
 God moves !
When a young person steps out with a passion and love for Christ, no demon in hell can stop them.  If a young person goes against the flow of their generation revival will happens !

Young Person don't be just another face in the crowd.  Don't just be another statistic, a nobody.  The world has enough of people like that.  Stand up and make a difference for Christ !
He won't let you down, He'll have your back.
If He is for you then who can be against you?

Yes, you maybe made fun of.  Yes, you may even experience physical pain.  But unless you are:

1.Beaten with a metal/bone laced whip.
2. Have hair pulled from your face.
3. Spit on.
4. Beaten with rods.
5. Nailed to a chunk of wood.
6. Speared through your heart.

IT'S NOTHING!

You will stand before God one day and you WILL give an account to Him for you life.  There will be no friends, family or pastors to bail you out.  So don't worry about what any of them think when you stand.  Be the example that Christ wants you to be !

Jesus went through hell for you, young person.
He wasn't some weak, pale skinned looking piece of fruit hanging on a cross.  Like so many of these cheesy pictures portray.
The Bible says that He was unrecognizable as a human. He probably had some of His intestines hanging out.  You could probably see some of His ribs or other bones.  His face most likely looked like fresh ground burger.  He stood for you.  He was the ultimate example and sacrifice for you.  The least you can do is stand and be an example for Him, teenager !
I promise that when you do people will be drawn to Jesus inside of you.  They will be drawn to His love for them.
